Kim Francis interviewed Johnny Depp for http://www.getbracknell.co.uk/ about his movies (especially Public Enemies) to try to "find the real Johnny Depp."

“The banks were the enemies and they were taking the knees out from under everyone,” explains Johnny. “And then there was John Dillinger.

“He’d spent 10 years in prison for some youthful, ignorant, drunken crime and he arrives on the scene in the ultimate existential arena and says: ‘I’m gonna stand up against you.’ I think for me what’s fascinating is the guy says: ‘I’m not going to take it. I don’t care who you are, I’m not going to take it.’”
